CAD Designer / Estimator

We’re Seeking a Full-Time CAD Designer to Help Us Design and Estimate Projects

Are you interested in design and manufacturing? Have experience with SolidWorks or other CAD drafting software? Are you ready to learn about manufacturing, sheet metal design, and customer service? If this sounds like you, read on!

Our busy metal fabrication shop is looking for an entry-level CAD Designer / Estimator to collaborate with our team and help deliver perfect projects for our clients. This role includes receiving incoming CAD drawings, updating and modifying them, and generating estimates. It also includes working with our Sr. Drafters, Project Managers, Fabricators and customers to see projects through to successful completion.

In the process, you’ll learn the latest metal fabrication and manufacturing best practices. And over time, you’ll have the opportunity to handle more advanced design needs and manage client accounts directly.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD design software
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with MS Office, Word and Excel
• HS diploma, or Associate’s degree, or related experience
• Desire to learn sheet metal design principles
• Desire to take on more responsibility over time
• Willingness to collaborate with our team and customers
• Friendly, helpful attitude

This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive benefit package. Overtime is available and will sometimes be required based on our customers’ needs. For the right candidate, there is plenty of opportunity for training and advancement.
